Hosted by the Government of Senegal, the climate finance workshop titled “IFAD-NDA (National Designated Authorities) Partnership National Designated Authorities” on climate finance brings together key stakeholders including government policy makers, development partners, financiers, researchers, and “agripreneurs”, to discuss climate finance programming, alignment between countries Work Programs with the combined IFAD-GCF pipeline on low emission and climate resilient agriculture in the Western and Central Africa region. 

The spirit of the workshop reflects the common will to push for low emission and climate resilient agriculture across the continent. It echoes the policy dialogue and provides a forum for South-South and Triangular Cooperation to better understand IFAD’s work and endorse IFAD on all investments related to climate resilient and low carbon emission agriculture. Presentation objectives focus on the barriers to productivity and identifying opportunity areas to keep up the momentum for climate action. 

ASCENT and IFAD will collaborate IFAD’s African Countries’ Work Programs in the area of Agriculture, endorsed by the NDAs and to be financed by the GCF.
